Open Chord Drills A D
Pro Tips:
Pro Tip:
Make sure your not strumming the sixth string on either chord for this one.
This open chord drill is for the A and D chord. Begin this exercise by strumming an A chord and letting it ring for a whole note. Switch to an D chord and let that ring for a whole note.
The exercise continues by moving back to the A chord for a half note, and then the D chord for a half note. The last measure of this exercise is one quarter note on each chord back and fourth.
One helpful way to switch between these two chords is to shift your third finger on the second string up to the third fret moving from the A chord, then move you first and second finger to second fret on the third and first string to get to the D chord.
