I-IV G Major
Pro Tips:
Pro Tip:
Accent beats two and four.
Notice the key change that is happening from the major chords to the minor chords, G major to G minor. This progression because of the key is mix of open chords and bar chords. Which add an extra level of difficulty.
This chord progression is based off of the first chord and the fourth chord in the key of G. If you look at the notes in an G major scale you have G A B C D E F# G. Build a chord from the first note and the fourth note in the scale. You get and G chord (G B D) and an C chord (C E G). That is the first two chords in the progression.
The next part are the same two chords except changing both of them to minor. So then you get G minor (G Bb D) and C minor (C Eb G). That is the idea with this progression. The I and IV chord and then the I minor chord and the IV minor chord. Strum one measure of eighth notes on each chord with alternate picking.
