Licks For Blues Soloing 4 Lick ComboBasic blues licks are essential for every guitar player. Players such as Albert Collins, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa. Bends, slides, position shifts, hammer-ons, pull-offs are the important techniques you will use in this style of playing. The most important thing here though is phrasing. Make sure to support the third finger bends with your first and second finger it will make the bends easier and facilitate good vibrato. Try adding vibrato to the longer notes for added style. Make sure your bends are in tune. You can check the pitch of your bent notes by playing the note and then playing the bent note of the same pitch, make sure they match.
