This String Skipping Finger Exercise will help you better navigate the spacing between the strings on your guitar. Alternate picking, Fret hand placement, and coordination between the right and left hands are all things that will be improved with this drill.
This pattern starts on the sixth string, and jumps from string to string slowly closing the gap between strings.
